unable to understand many articles posted
Hi, Anthony here, 75 years old, being active SWL since 1955 when i was 14.
Got started by Popular Electronics, Hank Bennet had monthly column giving
station names, frequencies and times. Always listened with cheap receivers
as i am not rich. Now receivers look like the cockpit of a jet fighter, intimidating
and confusing, also i don’t understand computer-controlled rigs, and rigs that
cost kilobucks are not for hobby or old people. Yes i would like to have the new
IC7300 but i am not an aerospace engineer.

Hi. I am new to the shortwave radio listening. I purchased a Tecsun PL-380 about a month ago. I get in a number of stations , most not clear, but the CRI, Bejing Hour seems to be the clearest.

My question is, Why is this broadcast in English?

I do have more questions but this one is good for now
