\nToday is Nikola Tesla’s birthday (lived July 10, 1856 – January 7, 1943) and I, for one, will be remembering\u00a0him for his enormous contributions to our hobby.<\/p>\n

If you’re not familiar with Tesla, \u00a0I highly recommend Margaret Cheney’s book,\u00a0Tesla: Man Out of Time<\/a>\"\". In the meantime,\u00a0I would at least encourage you to read his page\u00a0on Wikipedia<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And if you’re in the mood for a mixture of fact and funny, check out The Oatmeal’s<\/em> comic, “Why Nikola Tesla was the greatest geek who ever lived.<\/a>”\u00a0(Profanity warning!)\u00a0In fact, Matthew Inman, the comic artist\u00a0behind The Oatmeal<\/em> has raised over $2 million dollars to create a Nikola Tesla museum in New York<\/a>. Amazing…Looking forward to visiting that.<\/p>\n

My thoughts? We need more Nikola Teslas on this planet–clearly, a\u00a0man\u00a0ahead of his time.<\/p>\n
