{"id":11993,"date":"2015-01-18T09:23:04","date_gmt":"2015-01-18T13:23:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/?p=11993"},"modified":"2015-01-18T09:23:04","modified_gmt":"2015-01-18T13:23:04","slug":"shortwave-radio-recordings-special-radio-netherlands-broadcast-via-wrmi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/2015\/01\/shortwave-radio-recordings-special-radio-netherlands-broadcast-via-wrmi\/","title":{"rendered":"Shortwave Radio Recordings: Special Radio Netherlands broadcast via WRMI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/RadioNederland.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-11956 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/RadioNederland.jpg\" alt=\"RadioNederland\" width=\"300\" height=\"204\" \/><\/a>Last week, I received <a title=\"Special Radio Netherlands broadcasts starting January 17 and 18, 2015\" href=\"http:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/2015\/01\/special-radio-netherlands-broadcasts-starting-january-17-and-18-2015\/\">a message from\u00a0Peter De Groot<\/a>, who announced a special broadcast of Radio Netherlands Worldwide (RNW).<\/p>\n<p>RNW has been off the air for more than 2.5 years, so we can assume this was not sponsored by RNW.<\/p>\n<p>Though scheduling (and the fact I forgot to start a spectrum recording&#8211;!) interfered with my ability to listen to the first broadcast on January 17, I was able to catch the January 18 broadcast at 01:00 UTC on 7,570 kHz. The show was relayed by WRMI.<\/p>\n<p>The broadcast came in so strong, when I heard the interval signal, it instantly transported me back to the days when Hilversum targeted eastern North America.
