I even received a \u00a0report from Mike in New Zealand who couldn&#8217;t hear RA on 9,580 kHz with his Yaesu FT-817.<\/p>\n<p>I did, however, receive two reports from listeners stating that they could hear a <em>very<\/em> faint signal from RA on 9,580 kHz&#8211;long after I had tuned off frequency. This might explain the carrier <a title=\"Radio Australia silent on 9,580 kHz this morning\" href=\"http:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/2015\/01\/radio-australia-silent-on-9580-khz-this-morning\/\">I saw on my spectrum display yesterday<\/a>. Perhaps <a title=\"What is Shepparton? Take a video tour.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.radioaustralia.net.au\/international\/radio\/onairhighlights\/beaming-radio-australia-around-the-world-on-shortwave\/1094588\" target=\"_blank\">Shepparton<\/a> turned down the power on 9,580 kHz for maintenance purposes?<\/p>\n<p>Either way, I&#8217;m simply happy to hear my old friend back on 9,580.
