My earliest memories of listening to shortwave radio included hearing his voice read the time on WWV&#8217;s frequencies (2.5, 5, 10, 15 and 20 MHz) in the 1970s.<\/p>\n<p>Heald was also heavily involved in broadcasting and charitable organizations.
