(the Duet, meanwhile, is a two-speaker version of the same rig). \u00a0At first glance, the Solo\u00a0appears\u00a0to be \u00a0compatible with a much wider range of digital formats than many of its competitors, so naturally\u00a0I&#8217;m eager to determine if this is so. Here&#8217;s a list:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Internet radio accessing 20,000+ stations<\/li>\n<li>Spotify<\/li>\n<li>Bluetooth with aptX<\/li>\n<li>NFC Android Bluetooth connection<\/li>\n<li>DLNA WIFI<\/li>\n<li>Music player allowing easy navigation and playback through a USB or network-shared library of music files, including AAC+, MP3, WMA, WAV, and FLAC<\/li>\n<li>4 High-Res inputs:\u00a02 analog, 1 Optical, and 1 USB.<\/li>\n<li>Google Cast-ready<\/li>\n<li>Amazon Dot-ready<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It even has a &#8220;high-performance&#8221; FM tuner and is DAB+ compatible, especially\u00a0great if you live in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>It also sounds like they&#8217;ve spent time designing a proper acoustic chamber\/chassis and are fueling a 3&#8243; woofer and 3\/4&#8243; dome tweeter with a\u00a02 X 30 watt RMS amplifier. This radio should pack some audio punch.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_19397\" style=\"width: 690px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Duetto.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-19397\" class=\"size-full wp-image-19397\" src=\"http:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Duetto.jpg\" alt=\"The Como Audio Duetto\" width=\"680\" height=\"399\" srcset=\"https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Duetto.jpg 680w, https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Duetto-300x176.jpg 300w, https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Duetto-624x366.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-19397\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Como Audio Duetto<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The only obvious thing I see missing on the Como Audio WiFi radios is an internal battery.<\/p>\n<p>Still, after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/819585793\/solo-and-duetto-one-touch-music-streaming-with-hif\" target=\"_blank\">watching the video and reviewing the specs,<\/a> I backed the campaign to receive a walnut Kickstarter Edition Solo. If all goes well\u2013\u2013and I never actually expect a campaign to produce and ship a product in the amount of time they expect\u2013\u2013they may be shipping the radios as early as October.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign has already met it&#8217;s goal of $50,000 and is now stretching for $100,000 with more incentives.<\/p>\n<p>So, I didn&#8217;t really <em>need<\/em> another WiFi radio, but thanks to Robert&#8217;s email\u2013\u2013yep, I bought one! Now the only question remains: \u00a0can you actually make\u00a0impulse purchases on Kickstarter?
