On Tuesday, 21 June 2016, the BBC World Service officially transmitted the 2016 BBC Antarctic Midwinter Broadcast<\/strong>\u2013an international radio broadcast intended for a small group of scientists, technicians, and support staff who work for the British Antarctic Survey<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This is one of my favorite annual broadcasts, and I endeavor to listen every year<\/a>. Once again, the\u00a0SWLing Post<\/em> called upon readers to make a short recording of the broadcast from their locale.<\/p>\n

Below are the entries, roughly organized by continent and country\/region, including reader\u2019s photos if provided. I had planned to post these recordings by Sunday, but my travels interfered and I discovered an additional ten recordings in my inbox! (If I\u2019ve somehow missed including your entry, please contact me<\/em>; I\u2019ll amend this post.)<\/p>\n
