\u00a0I typically use the Grundig Satellit 750 the most \u2013 mainly because of its size &amp; large intuitive buttons. \u00a0The direct BNC connections make it quick &amp; easy to transition from one antenna to another. \u00a0My favorite SW radio feature is Tecsun\u2019s ETM (I wish every radio had it) thus I find myself using the PL-390 &amp; PL-365 especially when out of my listening post. \u00a0My favorite antenna is the TG34. \u00a0I find that it greatly enhances the signal with a minimal increase in noise. \u00a0The Slinky is great in that I can add it to another antenna that I\u2019m using to make a more effective combination (e.g., AMECO TPA with the Slinky &amp; the NASA PA30 with the Slinky on the radio whip work well for me).<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<div id=\"attachment_21804\" style=\"width: 635px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_1858.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-21804\" class=\"size-large wp-image-21804\" src=\"http:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_1858-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"The bins and black cases with my gear (those are two Plano Gun Cases \u2026 a 2-gun case and a 4-gun case; I have 8 more filled with my astronomy gear but that\u2019s another story).\" width=\"625\" height=\"833\" srcset=\"https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_1858.jpg 768w, https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_1858-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_1858-624x832.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 625px) 100vw, 625px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-21804\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The bins and black cases with my gear (those are two Plano Gun Cases \u2026 a 2-gun case and a 4-gun case; I have 8 more filled with my astronomy gear but that\u2019s another story).<\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I think shortwave listening is a great hobby that compliments my amateur astronomy. \u00a0Why? \u00a0No matter the clouds, extreme temperatures, etc., I always have something interesting to do. \u00a0But I do miss the days when the wave bands were crowded with international broadcasters. \u00a0At least I know that Jupiter, Saturn &amp; the thousands of deep sky objects within grasp of my many telescopes &amp; binoculars will NOT be leaving the sky until long after I leave this planet!<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>You&#8217;ve set up an excellent\u00a0listening post, Troy!
