Reason is I am looking for an AM portable for the nightstand for nulling out unwanted AM stations while also doing a little DXing.<\/p>\n<p>The list I have from data mining the &#8216;Net is:<\/p>\n<p><strong>New models with rotatable AM antennas:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CountyCom GP5\/SSB,<\/li>\n<li>Tecsun PL-360,<\/li>\n<li>Grundig Satellite 750,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Older (vintage) models:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Panasonic RF-2200,<\/li>\n<li>Panasonic RF-1150,<\/li>\n<li>Panasonic RF-877,<\/li>\n<li>Panasonic RF-1180<\/li>\n<li>most RDF (Radio Direction Finder) radios that were used on boats<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>&#8220;Boom Box&#8221; variety:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Radio Shack 12- 795,<\/li>\n<li>Emerson MBR-1,<\/li>\n<li>Rhapsody RY-610.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[RDF radios]\u00a0are kind of big, however Raytheon, Ray Jefferson, and Nova-Tech did have smaller model RDFs that could be considered table-tops).<\/p>\n<p>The alternative is to build or buy a passive indoor antenna.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe readers know of other models?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Thank you for your inquiry, Mario!
