\nThis week and next, our special guest is Bobby Carcasses, creator of Jazz Plaza, singer, trumpeter, showman, recording artist, whose new recording Blues Con Montuno just won a Cubadisco award in the Jazz Soloists category. Bobby is one of the most important people in Jazz in Cuba in the past 50 years, and you won’t want to miss this. This week we talk about his career, Jazz Plaza, International Jazz Day and other topics and we’ll listen to his earlier music. The following week he will converse with us about Blues Con Montuno, and we’ll listen to some of the tracks.
