Truman via <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RealTimeWWII\/status\/894326997232570368\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@RealTimeWWII<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If I&#8217;m not mistaken, that is a\u00a0Scott Radio Labs Model RBO-2.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m guessing that&#8217;s also the speaker mounted on the wall directly above the receiver.<\/p>\n<p>Scott Radio Labs marine receivers were shielded to the point that they had\u00a0<em>very<\/em> low local oscillator radiation. This design prevented detection of the ship via the enemy&#8217;s use of radio direction finding gear.<\/p>\n<p>I have a commercial <a href=\"https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/tag\/scott-marine-radio-slr-m\/\">Scott Marine Radio Model SLRM<\/a>&#8211;it is my favorite receiver and I use it daily.<\/p>\n<p><em>Post<\/em> readers: Anyone else have a Scott Radio Labs receiver in their shack?
