Listening to remote receivers in Japan I can see the signal is very strong in the Tokyo and Yokohama areas &#8211; I assume it will be strong in other parts of Japan as well. I have NOT been able to decode the DRM successfully, I have tried piping the audio to me here in my Australian location and demodulating it with a software DRM decoder &#8211; I just can&#8217;t get a lock on the signal. Do you have a DRM receiver &#8211; could you please try? If you do manage to receive the signal please don&#8217;t forget to record it!<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m particularly interested to know if the transmissions are relays of KCBS Pyongyang, Pyongyang Pangsong or some other service. If you get a demodulated signal could you check to see if the program is parallel to KCBS Pyongyang on 2850KHz or Pyongyang Pangsong on 6400KHz.<\/p>\n<p>I have a WinRadio Excalibur with DRM here in Australia, but the signal is very weak here &#8211; far too weak to lock.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Later, Mark shared the following video <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/2ULr1yHv3rs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">by &#8220;2010DFS&#8221; on YouTube<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"625\" height=\"352\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2ULr1yHv3rs?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/2ULr1yHv3rs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to view on YouTube.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mark also notes that <a href=\"http:\/\/drmnainfo.blogspot.com.au\/2017\/09\/drpk-in-drm.html?fref=gc&amp;dti=127871200697189\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>DRMNA.info<\/strong> is following this story very closely<\/a>\u00a0and suspects that the content server and or transmitter may be Chinese in origin:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>NOTE: Same frequency and bitrate as the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/drmnainfo.blogspot.com\/2012\/06\/we-welcome-dprks-vok-to-drm-community.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2012 broadcasts<\/a>\u00a0so this may represent &#8220;Chinese assistance&#8221;. Can anyone confirm DRM equipment in Kujang?<\/p>\n<p>20170902 Update: I have received anonymous details that indicate that at least the content server is of Chinese origin. Still no word on actual transmit location. Several other Japanese (and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hobbyradio.se\/en\/drm\/dumps_en.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Terje<\/a>\u00a0in Japan) have successfully decoded these transmissions.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/drmnainfo.blogspot.com.au\/2017\/09\/drpk-in-drm.html?fref=gc&amp;dti=127871200697189\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to read full details at DRMNA.info.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Being a North Korean propaganda specialist, Mark added:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>At the Freeman&#8217;s Reach monitoring station the bandwidth and microwave paths in are really being tested this afternoon with the full on activity.<\/p>\n<p>All plans for the afternoon and evening now cancelled!
