(Click to enlarge)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>There are a number of online shortwave frequency databases out there, but until recently, I was never satisfied with any one single site. Some of the more user-friendly sites are horribly out-of-date and many of the up-to-date sites are difficult to navigate when you&#8217;re in a hurry. After all, it&#8217;s one thing to view schedules in a book like <a title=\"2012 WRTH: A Look Inside\" href=\"http:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/2012\/01\/2012-wrth-a-look-inside\/\">WRTH<\/a> or the <a title=\"5th Edition of The Worldwide Listening Guide now available\" href=\"http:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/2011\/12\/5th-edition-of-the-worldwide-listening-guide-now-available\/\">Worldwide Listening Guide<\/a>, where you can touch the page and make notes; it&#8217;s a much different experience to scroll down frequency listings on your computer monitor.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been using a new shortwave schedule database recently called <a title=\"shortwaveschedule.com\" href=\"http:\/\/www.shortwaveschedule.com\" target=\"_blank\">ShortwaveSchedule.com<\/a>, and I must say, I&#8217;m very pleased with it. The site is basically an online version of Aoki&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.geocities.jp\/binewsjp\/\">Bi Newsletter shortwave transmission database<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Best yet, the site&#8217;s owner,\u00a0VAXXi, tries to continuously\u00a0improve the site and is even open to suggestions from users. I made a suggestion recently and received a quick response. \u00a0The site author also created a very helpful <a title=\"Online User Guide\" href=\"http:\/\/www.shortwaveschedule.com\/index.php?page=1\" target=\"_blank\">online user guide<\/a>\u00a0and updates the homepage with version notes.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, check out <a title=\"Shortwave Schedule\" href=\"http:\/\/shortwaveschedule.com\" target=\"_blank\">the site<\/a> and feel free to comment, to note your favorite online schedule site, or make suggestions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are a number of online shortwave frequency databases out there, but until recently, I was never satisfied with any one single site.
