The band has two ranges: 525 to<br \/>\n710 and 710 to about 1720 kHz. Paul Karlstrand uses a unique design consisting<br \/>\nof flat computer cable and a custom made circuit board to connect the turns<br \/>\nend-to-end.<\/p>\n<p>The low end simply switches in a fixed capacitor across the variable to lower the<br \/>\nfrequency.<\/p>\n<p>The Mini has 25% less sensitivity than the standard 14 inch loop <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amradioantennas.com\/Leaflets\/PK's%20Loop%20Antennas%20Catalogue.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according to the website<\/a>.<br \/>\nCurrently it can be had for $66 USD delivered to your door from Melbourne&#8230;this one<br \/>\nwas ordered on a Monday and showed up a week later,which is outstanding considering<br \/>\nit had to clear customs in NYC.<\/p>\n<p>Performance is virtually identical with the Tecsun or Terk loops, which are 9 inch loops.<br \/>\nSo why buy a PK?<\/p>\n<p>You get what you pay for, or not&#8230;the PK is fairly robust compared to the Tecsun or Terk.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s made to last and it&#8217;s a PK Loop.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some links for comparison purposes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amradioantennas.com\/am_antennas.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PK Loop<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Terk-ADVANTAGE-Indoor-AM-Antenna\/dp\/B072ZVP9KS\/ref=sr_1_4?hvadid=77859218647012&amp;hvbmt=be&amp;hvdev=t&amp;hvqmt=e&amp;keywords=terk+am+antenna&amp;qid=1566333413&amp;s=gateway&amp;sr=8-4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Terk<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.anon-co.com\/category\/radio-reception-antenna\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tecsun<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you wish to enhance your loop try co-coupling it to your receiver with a Q-Stick :<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dxtools.com\/QStick.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/dxtools.com\/QStick.htm<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Thank you, Ron, for sharing your experience with the PK Loop Mini.
