In fact, unless the DSP chip itself can be hacked, I imagine modding the DSP DE1103 for VLF would be quite difficult.<\/p>\n<p>I hope more knowledgeable <em>SWLing Post<\/em> readers can comment with a definitive answer.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the choice between the DE1103 DSP and the PL&#8211;660 or PL-680? I wouldn&#8217;t hesitate to grab either Tecsun receiver over the DE1103 DSP. <a href=\"https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/2015\/11\/the-new-degen-de1103-dsp-first-impressions-review\/\">Check out my short review of the DE1103 DSP<\/a> for more info about this particular model&#8217;s shortcomings.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;re right about finding the original DE1103. <a href=\"http:\/\/rover.ebay.com\/rover\/1\/711-53200-19255-0\/1?ff3=4&amp;pub=5574879351&amp;toolid=10001&amp;campid=5337672000&amp;customid=&amp;mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm570.l1313%26_nkw%3DDegen%2BDE1103%2B-DSP%26_sacat%3D0%26LH_TitleDesc%3D0%26_osacat%3D0%26_odkw%3DDegen%2BDE1103%2BDual%2BConversion%2B-DSP%26rt%3Dnc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">I did create <strong>this eBay link<\/strong><\/a> that should help filter out the DSP models from the search results.
