While so much of the world is sheltering at home due to Covid-19, it&#8217;s less convenient to purchase one just for this purpose.<\/p>\n<p>But almost <em>everyone<\/em> has an old VGA or USB cable with ferrite cores they can cannibalize for this\u00a0 very purpose. Oscar shared this super-simple hack <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ea3ibc\/status\/1249371572097486848\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">on Twitter<\/a>:<\/p>\n<h1>1. Cut the cable and remove the ferrite cores<\/h1>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Binocular-ferrite-core-hack-scaled-e1586955452751.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-42858\" src=\"https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Binocular-ferrite-core-hack-1024x1017.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"625\" height=\"621\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h1>2.
