\nBoth WBCQ The Planet and Radio Channel 292 will be presenting special simulcasts featuring multiple music and variety programs in September, both with time donated by the stations:<\/p>\n

I.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Showcase 292<\/em> will air with time donated by the station on Radio Channel 292 from Rohrbach, Germany on September 7 from 2100 to 2200 UTC on 3955, 6070 and 9670 kHz.\u00a0 This is Channel 292’s first collaborative simulcast featuring five music and variety programs that appear on its weekly schedule – Alt Universe Top 40 (rock), Encore (classical music), From the Isle of Music (Cuban music), Uncle Bill’s Melting Pot (world and novelty music) and the Voice of the Report of the Week (listener request music plus commentary).\u00a0 3955 and 9670 are both new frequencies,\u00a0 and listeners are encouraged to try them as a DX catch\u00a0 in eastern Canada and the eastern US.\u00a0 A special eQSL will be available from the producer (details will be given during the broadcast).\u00a0 6070 kHz will of course not be receivable in Canada due to CFRX on the same frequency.
\nII.\u00a0 WBCQ The Planet from Monticello, Maine, USA continues its popular simulcast series with time donated by Allan and Angela Weiner with\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0WBCQ Works!<\/em>\u00a0on September 7 from 10pm to 11pm EDT (0200-0300 UTC September 8) on 5130, 6160 and 7490 kHz with five of its popular regular music offerings – Area 51, beHAVior night, the Lost Discs Radio Show, Marion’s Attic and Uncle Bill’s Melting Pot.\u00a0 \u00a0In another recent broadcast, 6160 was heard as far as Western Russia and may be listenable\u00a0 throughout most of Canada away from the NE.\u00a0 \u00a05130 may be better for NE Canada, and 7490 may be better out west.\u00a0 This, too, will have a special eQSL from the producer,\u00a0 details will be given during the broadcast.\u00a0 Since it will be Labor Day in the US, many of the songs will be related to work or the lack of it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
