Shortly after his post, I was able to quickly tune-in and intercept 2 pirate radio stations on September 5 2020 during the period 00:30 to 02:17 UTC.<\/p>\n<p>John&#8217;s post read:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>&#8220;Pirate station WDOG is on 5060kHz. USB right now as I write this &#8211; 0027UTC Sept. 5, 2020 (8:27 p.m. EDT Fri. Sept. 4). Fairly good signal, playing various rock and pop songs. The first from WDOG on 5060.0 kHz USB from an unconfirmed start time until sign-off with &#8220;Star-Spangled Banner&#8221; played by Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock at 01:53 UTC.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/2020-09-05_020329-EFP.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-45312\" src=\"https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/2020-09-05_020329-EFP.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"987\" height=\"262\" srcset=\"https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/2020-09-05_020329-EFP.png 987w, https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/2020-09-05_020329-EFP-300x80.png 300w, https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/2020-09-05_020329-EFP-768x204.png 768w, https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/2020-09-05_020329-EFP-624x166.png 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 987px) 100vw, 987px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The second broadcast followed suite by Radio Station EFP, as well on 5060.0 kHz, but this time in AM mode. Radio Station EFP continued to broadcast until approximately 02:17 UTC after which it started to exhibit deep signal path fades and eventually went off-air at 02:17:40 UTC.<\/p>\n<p>Armed with the combination of devoted listeners posting reception reports and a radio always at the ready, this made for a very exciting 2 hours of SWL.<\/p>\n<p>Included is a 10 minute audio compilation for everyone to enjoy which I stitched together from the 2 plus hours of off-air broadcast recording I saved:<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-45310-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/download\/pirate-audio-station-compilation-5060-k-hz-2020-09-05\/Pirate%20Audio%20Station%20Compilation%20-%205060%20kHz%20%282020-09-05%29.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/download\/pirate-audio-station-compilation-5060-k-hz-2020-09-05\/Pirate%20Audio%20Station%20Compilation%20-%205060%20kHz%20%282020-09-05%29.mp3\">https:\/\/archive.org\/download\/pirate-audio-station-compilation-5060-k-hz-2020-09-05\/Pirate%20Audio%20Station%20Compilation%20-%205060%20kHz%20%282020-09-05%29.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>This is brilliant, Richard!
