In the background, I&#8217;ve been working on a number of reviews and articles for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thespectrummonitor.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Spectrum Monitor<\/a> and a new transceiver review for <a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/publications-archives\/radcom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RadCom<\/a>, among many other projects (including my <a href=\"https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/2020\/03\/social-distancing-nothing-new-to-us-radio-geeks\/\">Social DX list<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>My work and family life has been <em>very<\/em> busy&#8211;no doubt some catch-up after a slower-than-normal (pandemic) year.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>My listening time has been very limited and I&#8217;ve found I&#8217;ve done much less weak signal work and, instead, have been sticking with some of my staple, reliable broadcasters. I&#8217;ve been listening to many of the music programs on WRMI and of course the Voice of Greece. Mostly, I have these on in the background as I do other things around the shack.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Yaesu-FRG-7.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-44317\" src=\"https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Yaesu-FRG-7.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"732\" srcset=\"https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Yaesu-FRG-7.jpeg 1000w, https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Yaesu-FRG-7-300x220.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Yaesu-FRG-7-768x562.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Yaesu-FRG-7-624x457.jpeg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a>My Yaesu FRG-7 has been piping out tunes in the shack more so than my SDRs as of late due to a recent computer upgrade (which requires numerous re-installations). There is serious appeal in being able to turn on a radio without any boot up, I must say!
