And we added <b>Signal <\/b>and <b>Transmission Mode <\/b>modules to let users maintain tables of signal and transmission\u00a0 modes.<\/li>\n<li>We added a <b>Transmission Mode Details <\/b>box to allow users to type free-form information about the\u00a0 transmission mode received, such as baud rate, bandwidth, etc. (for example, <b>1200bps\/L<\/b>). New <b>Log Variables <\/b>enable users to share <b>Signal<\/b>, <b>Transmission<\/b>, and <b>Detail <\/b>mode information so readers (and users) can\u00a0 reproduce the monitoring environment and log (or relog) the stations. Here are two\u00a0 examples: \u201c<b style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">1200bps\/L STANAG 4285 <\/b><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">crypto tfc on <\/span><b style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">USB<\/b><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u201d and \u201c<\/span><b style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">MIL-188-110A\/B <\/b><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">continuous mode idle on <\/span><b style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">LSB<\/b><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>We added support for tracking <b>Maidenhead grid squares<\/b>, which is useful when monitoring\/logging stations\u00a0 not located in traditional countries, like aircraft and ships operating in international airspace and waters. Grid\u00a0 squares are calculated from specified latitudes and longitudes. Both <b>Performance <\/b>and <b>Stations <\/b>reports let you\u00a0 track grids. <b>Search <\/b>functions let you find log entries for viewing or editing based on their grid squares.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Verification By Improv Imaging\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Similar to the legacy <b>Verification By Audio <\/b>feature, where the presence of an audio file in a log entry designates\u00a0 the station as &#8220;Verified By Audio,&#8221; we added a <b>Verification By Improv Imaging <\/b>feature which counts the station as\u00a0 &#8220;Verified By Improv Image&#8221; if the <b>Shows ID <\/b>check box on the <b>Improv Imaging <\/b>tab is selected, indicating the\u00a0 presence of an ID on the window of a captured digital software application (such as <b>PC-HFDL<\/b>).\u00a0 <b>Performance<\/b>, <b>Stations<\/b>, and <b>Log Entries <\/b>reports let you track verifications by traditional QSLs, presence of Audio\u00a0 files, and presence of Improv Images for which the <b>Shows ID <\/b>check box is selected.<\/p>\n<p><b>Schedule Checker Monitoring Advice and Tuning\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When <b>Schedule Checker <\/b>advises users to monitor a station for a new or verified Country, it does so now for\u00a0 the <b>Class <\/b>(<i>SWBC<\/i>, <i>Ute<\/i>, <i>Ham<\/i>, <i>etc.<\/i>) and <b>QSL Type <\/b>(<i>Verified By QSL<\/i>, <i>Audio<\/i>, or <i>Improv Image<\/i>) selected in <b>Properties<\/b>. The foreground and background colors that indicate the <b>Schedule Checker\u2019s <\/b>monitoring advice can be defined by users in <b>Properties<\/b>. The colors appear in an upgraded legend on the <b>Schedule Checker<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Users can now tune their radios to the schedule item&#8217;s signal mode and frequency by selecting the desired\u00a0 signal mode in the <b>Signal Mode <\/b>list box and double-clicking the schedule item.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Solar Indices Enhancements\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Acquisition of current solar indices has been improved on the <b>Monitor Log <\/b>and <b>Schedule Checker <\/b>windows. \u2022 Editing of solar indices has been added to the <b>Monitor Log <\/b>window for when NOAA is down.<\/li>\n<li>We restored historic solar indices adjustments based on date and time changes made on the <b>Monitor\u00a0 Log <\/b>window provided users have downloaded historic solar indices from the NOAA FTP site into the Solar subfolder. Users can filter schedule information by band,\u00a0 frequency, station, country, time of day, language, and more. EiBi schedules also include utility stations.<\/p>\n<p>For each schedule item, <b>Schedule Checker <\/b>queries the <b>Monitor Log 14 <\/b>database to let users know \u2013 through user-defined, foreground and background display colors \u2013 whether they need to monitor a station for a brand new or verified country. The colors appear in a legend on the <b>Schedule Checker <\/b>window. When <b>Schedule\u00a0 Checker <\/b>advises users to monitor a station for a new or verified Country, it does so for the <b>Class <\/b>(<i>SWBC<\/i>, <i>Ute<\/i>,\u00a0 <i>Ham<\/i>, etc.) and <b>QSL Type <\/b>(<i>Verified By QSL, Audio<\/i>, or <i>Improv Image<\/i>) selected in <b>Properties<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Reporting Reception\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Users can create <b><i>customized <\/i><\/b><b>paper and e-mail reception reports <\/b>for sending to stations plus <b>log entry data\u00a0 shares <\/b>for reporting catches to clubs and magazines. Using the <b>Script Editor <\/b>window, users can create and edit\u00a0 scripts that <i>format <\/i>reception reports, eReports, and shares <i>to their liking<\/i>. The software prompts users to select\u00a0 the script they want to use. Dozens of scripts come with <b>Monitor Log 14<\/b>. Users can also send <b>eQSL requests <\/b>to\u00a0 hams automatically via the popular <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eqsl.cc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.eqsl.cc<\/a> site and update their databases with downloaded\u00a0 eQSL.cc Inbox records.<\/p>\n<p><b>Imaging\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Improv Imaging <\/b>lets users associate ad hoc images with log entries using Capture, Scan, and Clipboard\u00a0 functions. Captures of stations received on digital applications, waterfall displays, facsimile and Amateur TV\u00a0 pictures are popular. The <b>Improv Imaging tab <\/b>and <b>Application <\/b>let users view images anytime, and an <b>Improv\u00a0 Image Explorer <\/b>lets them peruse their entire collection and display associated log entries. A <b>QSL Imaging <\/b>facility\u00a0 functions the same as <b>Improv Imaging <\/b>for associating QSLs.<\/p>\n<p><b>Other Features\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Rig Control <\/b>\u2014 Retrieves the frequency and mode from supported radios and permits tuning from the\u00a0 <b>Schedule Checker <\/b>and <b>Direct Tune<\/b>.
