John just sent the following update:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Thanks, Thomas!<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Indeed you are correct.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Having more luck decoding the Boston service\u2026 remembered I have a Sony AN-LP1 external antenna and so I unpacked and unraveled it and plugged in to the D-808 \u2026 drop that noise floor and\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>12179kc USB Fine Tune +50<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Radiofax-Boston-1.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-58172\" src=\"https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Radiofax-Boston-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1154\" height=\"750\" srcset=\"https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Radiofax-Boston-1.jpeg 1154w, https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Radiofax-Boston-1-300x195.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Radiofax-Boston-1-1024x666.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Radiofax-Boston-1-768x499.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Radiofax-Boston-1-624x406.jpeg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1154px) 100vw, 1154px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Above is the best example I have so far with HF FAX.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">I guess it\u2019s rather easy to decode these overall once you get the noise floor down, and fine tune the signal.
