It&#8217;s believed this announcer is still imprisoned:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F95444945\" height=\"166\" width=\"100%\" frameborder=\"no\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The second was an article that a journalist friend had posted. It&#8217;s simply a list of search terms that the Chinese government blocked on Sina <a title=\"Posts tagged with weibo\" href=\"http:\/\/chinadigitaltimes.net\/china\/weibo\/\" rel=\"tag\">Weibo<\/a> as of June 4th.  Of course, the list contains words you would assume would be included, like:  <em>1989, 89, vigils, <\/em>and <em>memorial ceremony<\/em>. But it also includes words like: <em>Internet block, sensitive word,<\/em> and <em>inappropriate<\/em><em> for the public. <\/em>Think of how many sites and posts this blocked (certainly ours!). Of course, there are many more terms on the list&#8211;<a title=\"China Digital Times\" href=\"http:\/\/chinadigitaltimes.net\/2013\/06\/sensitive-words-24th-anniversary-of-tiananmen-2\/\" target=\"_blank\">check out this article on China Digital Times<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n<p>So why is shortwave radio still important in China?
