Hi to all SWLing Post community. Here’s what Imaginary Stations<\/strong> will be bringing to the shortwaves this week.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday 8th July 2026, <\/strong>at 0200 hrs UTC <\/strong>on 9395 kHz <\/strong>on WRM<\/a>I<\/a><\/strong> we have WHFM \u2013 Herman’s Radio and Record Room.<\/strong> This is another show in a series of programmes by DJ Frederick Moe<\/strong> in memory of his father Herman (1919-2001) and features mid-century sounds including country, jazz, folk and easy listening.<\/p>\n

Later on, that day (and repeated on July 15th) at 2000 hrs UTC<\/strong> on 3975 kHz\/6160 kHz<\/strong> via Shortwave Gold<\/b><\/a>, we bring you more\u00a0Skybird Jams<\/strong>. The show is entitled \u201cMusic to increase your attention span\u201d with DJ Frederick<\/strong> and mixes from Justin Patrick Moore<\/strong> and One Deck Pete<\/strong>. In other words, they’ll be extended tunes (we’re talking over 7 minutes here) and \u2018jam bands\u2019 on your shortwave dial on a Wednesday evening. Tune in and enjoy the sound of even more Skybird Jams.<\/p>\n

While on Saturday 11th July <\/b>at 1100 hrs UTC<\/b> on 6160 kHz <\/b>and then again on Sunday 12th July<\/b>\u00a0at 1300 hrs UTC <\/b>on 6160 kHz <\/b>and 2000 hrs UTC <\/b>on 3975 kHz\/6160 kHz<\/b>, we have the second episode of the show called Wave.<\/strong> Think summer, think BBQ’s, think stripey deck chairs and all things sunny! And think of the ionosphere enjoying the summer too.<\/p>\n
