David is a talented radio producer who also happens to be a life-long avid shortwave radio listener.<\/p>\n<p>One of David&#8217;s productions,\u00a0<em>Atencion! Seis Siete Tres Siete Cero: The Mystery of the Shortwave Numbers Stations, <\/em>first aired in 2000 as part of the NPR series\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/sections\/lost-found-sound\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lost and Found Sound<\/a>. It&#8217;s a richly layered soundscape, a sonic journey woven together by David&#8217;s narration and a series of interviews in a form of personal documentary&#8211;<em>and it&#8217;s simply inspired<\/em>. \u00a0This piece caught the attention of Roman Mars, producer of my all-time favorite podcast,\u00a0<em><a title=\"99% Invisible: David Goren\" href=\"http:\/\/99percentinvisible.org\/episode\/numbers-stations\/\" target=\"_blank\">99% Invisible<\/a><\/em>. I&#8217;m pleased and proud to report that <em>99% Invisible<\/em>&#8216;s <a href=\"http:\/\/99percentinvisible.org\/episode\/numbers-stations\/\" target=\"_blank\">latest podcast<\/a> features this brilliant numbers station piece of David&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>For those of you who don&#8217;t know, <em>99% Invisible<\/em>\u00a0now has, deservedly, one of the largest listenerships in the podcasting world. A version of their show is also produced and aired over NPR.
