Many of us are fortunate to know Dan: not only is he highly respected as a correspondent, but he is also an avid<\/em>\u00a0shortwave listener and DXer.<\/p>\n

Amongst other news source, Dan’s early retirement was noted by BBG Watch<\/em> and <\/a>The Federalist<\/a>. BBG Watch<\/em> stated:<\/p>\n

“[Dan Robinson], as other VOA reporters before him, apparently decided they could no longer tolerate mismanagement and poor work environment.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Former members of the Broadcasting Board of Governors<\/em> (BBG), Ambassador Victor Ashe and Ms. Blanquita Cullum, noted his retirement as “a loss” to the agency.<\/p>\n
