If interested,\u00a0<a title=\"The Voice of Greece: off the air, then on\" href=\"http:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/2013\/06\/voice-of-greece-on-shortwave-throughout-the-night-despite-ert-shut-down\/\">click here for some audio I recorded that very night<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Amazingly, one year later, 9,420 kHz is <em>still<\/em> active out of the Avlis transmitter site and last night, the\u00a0<em>Radio Station of Macedonia<\/em>\u00a0(a.k.a., ERT 3) was playing an excellent mix of Greek music and jazz.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Voice of Greece\" href=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/download\/VOG9420kHz12JUN140050Z\/VOG-9420kHz-12JUN14-0050Z.mp3\" target=\"_blank\">Click here to listen to the 51 minute recording<\/a>, made <a title=\"The Elad FDM-S2 SDR: Unboxing, installing, and a first recording\" href=\"http:\/\/swling.com\/blog\/2014\/06\/the-elad-fdm-s2-sdr-unboxing-installing-and-a-first-recording\/\">with the Elad FDM-S2 software defined receiver<\/a>, starting at 00:50 UTC:<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/embed\/VOG9420kHz12JUN140050Z\" width=\"500\" height=\"30\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll note great audio fidelity and a low noise floor despite the numerous static crashes present from area thunderstorms. (Note that I did not have DSP noise reduction nor the noise blanker engaged.)
