I’m a former M28/33 TTY tech. This typing unit brings back fond memories. When I was hired in my early 20’s I was sent to TTY school. After training they would place “bugs” in the machine and if you did not find and fix them in the prescribed allotted time they would let you go, fired! Well, I did pass and spent many happy years in the telecom business starting with TTY and progressing into the “high speed” data business (9.6k – 56kb). For all you ex M28 TTY techs, what was the “M” for in the type box and why did you use it?
