This week the programme begins with Vivaldi’s concerto for two mandolins and is followed by three short pieces for piano by Janá?ek and then the first movement of Mozart’s symphony No 41.
Contemporary composer Cheryl Frances-Hoad next with two movements from her suite Katharsis. After that an interesting pairing of a song by Schubert and a 1960s folk song. The programme finishes with a quartet for english horn and strings by Jean Françaix.
