15770 isn’t a frequency I can hear easily, but I appreciate more efforts to diversify music on shortwave, especially since terrestrial local radio doesn’t play 90% of what you hear on WRMI and WBCQ these days.
We may all have access to unlimited music online but there’s still something nice about letting someone else pick the songs for a few hours.

That was our thoughts exactly! Streaming services push music as a product, where an algorithm just presents songs to you in the same vein as songs you’ve already listened to multiple times, so people tend to be exposed to less variety.
Commercial terrestrial radio play what the corporate managers want them to play, so they tend to play the same songs by the same handful of artists every day, even if they vary the order in which they’re being played.
We get songs submitted to us by both artists and labels, and pick out what we believe are the best of all the different genres sent to us, even if they’re not always to our own tastes. From folk, to pop, EDM, punk, insustrial, goth, hard rock, ska, post-hardcore, metal…we’re committed to bringing back variety to the radio show format.
Even if you hate some of what we’ll play, we’re sure you’ll at least like something you haven’t heard before.
That’s our goal
RIght now, we’re self-funded but haven’t ruled out future sponsorship. If we do get sponsorship sometime in the future, we will absolutely be addding transmissions to Latin America as a priority.
I celebrate the initiative to bring good music and a real alternative to shortwave broadcasting. This frequency isn’t easy to tune in here in southern Brasil, but I’ll try anyway.
