Perhaps the sale price indicates the imminent availability of the HD version. Universal Radio added an update on February 18, 2024, indicating the new model should be available soon.
Then again, that’s what the update of last November said.
I like this radio for its sound and reception. But it lacks ATS or ETM tuning which I consider a must these days. Plus the method of storing statios isn’t the most intuitive.
If you can hold out, the price changes almost daily from $201 to as low as %133. Either way worth every penny. I like this radio.
