With the analog Faxes, the Chinese have been experimenting transmitting Digital Radio Mondiale Emergency Warning signals. These switch the radio to a separate data stream, wake the radio, sound a siren and make a loud announcement. When the announcement can be updated or cancelled. https://www.drmna.info/
