Many thanks to SWLing Post contributor Dan Greenall, who writes:
Hi Thomas:
The SWLing Post reported the start-up of an International Service from Radio Nacional da Amazonia in Brazil back on March 27.
Since then, I had been intending to give a listen, and finally, last night (April 18 UTC) I was able to do so. It is only a brief 10-minute segment in both English and Spanish and runs roughly from 0150 to 0200 UTC:
Audio PlayerI made the recording (above) on 11780 kHz through the use of a Kiwi SDR located near Rochester, New York. It was a bit of a tease, I think. 15 minutes in each language would be nice.

David,

As a result of political up chaos, changes of Governments it did not happen. The 1 kW DRM broadcasts were heard in Northern USA.
I mention this because they could transmit English and Spanish on the same transmitter simultaneously. There are moves to restart the 100 kW DRM transmitter project again, but we wait and see.
All Kiwi SDRs can decode DRM.
Could you provide information on these plans to restart DRM in Brazil? Like – when the decision was made, what is the timetable, is it going to be another test (like last time) or a regular broadcast?
and the electronic QSL card arrives very quickly!
Very interesting catch, thanks!
