Code worked for me. Was supposed to be delivered between 4 and 8 am this morning but Amazon site shows it’s delayed. Maybe tomorrow and maybe later. Been seeing delays much more frequently lately on Amazon.
When the blue charge light goes out, it’s done. No instructions in the manual about that.
I ordered late in the afternoon on Monday and it was delivered just before noon on Tuesday via USPS. Couldn’t believe it came that fast!
Xhdata sent me a new code, but that wouldn’t work either. They said the problem was that I had started to order and then deleted it, which I did every time I tried the original code. I tried upper case, lower case, copied & entered; I even deleted the Amazon cache, nothing worked. This is too much work to save a few dollars. I won’t be buying one. I’m glad a few of you were successful!
I tried upper case, lower case on Amazon, doesn’t work. I even logged into Amazon via the web rather than the app… doesn’t work. I’m in the US.
Try typing it instead of cutting and pasting. That can make a difference sometimes.
As I recall, I did a cut and paste. I was surprised that it worked the first time for me!
I didn’t paste. I typed it in 10 times and it didn’t work. I gave up and I really didn’t need another small radio anyway.
Yup – I gave up after 10 attempts.
The code does not work for me on XHDATA’s site. I tried switching to lower case, as well.
Note that if you apply Amazon’s coupon on the Amazon site, you can’t go back and change to the XHDATA discount code which is a better deal. Amazon’s coupon is for 20% off, and it’s not available through XHDATA’s store on Amazon – only a third-party seller.
Going to pass as I have the D-221 in green, so I saved money after all. Wish I’d waited another week, as I purchased a D-221 as a gift just last week.
I had no trouble on Amazon using the code CNEXZI9K as given above. (Like I *need* another portable receiver!) Here’s a tip: if you’re having trouble with the code MAKE SURE YOU’RE ORDERING THE D228 AND NOT THE D226. They both come up when searching on Amazon.
Also, I could not find the D-228 on Amazon until I changed my search to “D228” (no hyphen).
Inquiry as to whether manufacturer discount is available on Amazon purchase or must it be through the XHData website?

Try both upper case or lower case letters. One of them worked on Amazon. Good luck.
No luck getting the code to work but on Amazon now there is a coupon that may make it a better deal because of shipping being free.
