    Hi Thomas, someone needs to confirm that the Eton FRX5-BT really includes shortwave coverage. Your blog post says “SW”, and the HRO web site information lists shortwave coverage for this model. However, Eton’s own datasheet on their web site doesn’t mention it, nor does Amazon’s page for the FRX5-BT5 mention shortwave.

    Further confusing the issue, the general description of the FRX5-BT on the Eton web site DOES say it has shortwave! (I’d be more likely to believe the official datasheet rather than marketing copy, and the data sheet only indicates AM/FM/NOAA weather).

    Note that I have released a quick review of the new Eton Executive Traveler III vs the previous Traveler III and have only found two obvious changes, the antenna and the case. The manual that came with the new Executive is the old manual for the III so I assume and have seen no differences in the functions. I have bot done any reception comparisons as band conditions lately have been poor. See my quick comparisons on the radio on my YouTube channel, hamrad88. An examptle can be found here.

    One thing that I am hoping the new version of the Field radio is that they changed the flimsy switches especially those for band selection and bandwidth.
