Shortwave listening and everything radio including reviews, broadcasting, ham radio, field operation, DXing, maker kits, travel, emergency gear, events, and more
Many thanks to SWLing Post contributor, Frans Goddijn, who spotted the radio gear above in the The Royal Tenenbaums (2001). Can you recognize this iconic brand? How about the receiver on the lower shelf?
Thanks for the tip, Frans!

Of course that’s a Heathkit on top; I’ll leave it to the experts on the exact model of SSB transceiver. On the lower shelf, I recognized that familiar Sherwood design, and indeed some research determined it’s an S-3000 FM tuner. I wish I still had my old Sherwood receiver and the AR speakers that completed my first audio system. As a teen, I thought I was in audio heaven.
The SSB transceiver is a HW-101.
