The death toll from the train collision in Spain has reached 40, Radio Exterior de España, 17715 kHz
All Spaniards are shocked. There are already 41 dead and hundreds injured. There was one family in which only the 6-year-old daughter survived. A railway worker, who survived another serious train accident in 2013 (Angrois, Galicia), is missing; his family fears the worst. It seems that a section of the track broke, causing the high-speed train to derail, and unfortunately, a few minutes later, another train travelling on another track in the opposite direction collided with it.
Probably due to poor maintenance of the railway track (cost savings), 41 people have lost their lives… such is the result of money and greed on the part of companies and their CEOs.
