Thank you for the tip, Pawel. That is an odd and slightly obscure bug that Tecsun obviously has yet to address.
I asked Anon-co about the firmware in the export version of the Tecsun Pl-330 and if it still had the bugs. This is the response I got:
Dear Blake,
Thank you for contacting us regarding your interest in the TECSUN PL-330.
The export version that we are selling has firmware version 3305. Although we are not certain which bugs you are referring to, if you meant what has been called the “reverse tuning” issue on SSB, then this has indeed been resolved.
