Yep, definite SX-42. I have an SX-63A which I rebuilt and really like it.

Hallicrafters SX 42. A good vacuum tube receiver. Great audio. A bit drifty but it’s 1950s tech.
Definitely an SX-42 – Raymond Lowey cabinet and fron panel tdesign.
Halli SX-42. That was my first guess but I had to check with Dachis. I haven’t looked at that book for a long time, although I got an 5R10A recently.
I cringe at the manner in which he stores his records!
