Many thanks to Jon Hudson at SDRplay who shares the following news:
The latest EXTIO control file (Version 3.8.1) has a very cool new feature for shortwave listeners interested in hunting HF DX stations.
Using the world-wide station list mintained by http://www.eibispace.de/ you can see the name of stations appear in a pop-up window as you select a particular broadcast signal. The details are in the updated EXTIO user guide selectable from the Platforms section or by clicking here.
If you mouse over “3 stations found” you will see what else it could possible be transmitting.
EiBi list loaded into HDSDR (or whatever you prefer for a list or a software) it spits out the station name.???
You lost me with that one.
A good first step towards the functionality some software offers. However, “3 stations found” is not a very helpful information yet only when just one station is listed for a frequency in the EiBi list loaded into HDSDR (or whatever you prefer for a list or a software) it spits out the station name.
Version 3.8.1 had a few hiccups but has been completely fixed in release Version 3.8.3 located at http://sdrplay.com/software/SDRplay_EXTIO_Installer_v3.8.3.exe
