WRTH 2023 will be available in print and digital form under new ownership

Many thanks to SWLing Post contributor, Andrea Borgnino, who shared the following via Twitter:

The next edition of the WRTH “world’s most comprehensive and up-to-date guide to broadcasting” will be published in December 2022 in a printed and a digital version. The rights have now been transferred to Radio Data Center GmbH (RDC), based in Freising, Germany.

This is fantastic news! Thank you for sharing this, Andrea.

UPDATE: WRTH has posted the following press release (click to download PDF).

Of course, we’ll post more details as they become available.

Has anyone heard anything else about this? I “registered my interest” months ago and the website’s “countdown to launch” reached zero a while ago – yet no updates whatsoever.

It’s December 6 today, and the countdown timer on the Radio Data Center website ha obviously been reset: now it says there’s 41 days left until the release of the 2023 edition.

Funnily enough, the countdown clock is ticking away at the bottom of a page that still claims the book will be published in December…

It’s January 22 today, and the countdown timer on the Radio Data Center says there’s still 11 days left until the release of this year’s edition of the WRTH.

Funnily enough, the page claims “the next edition of the “world’s most comprehensive and up-to-date guide to broadcasting” will be published in January 2023 in a printed and a digital version.”

It will be February in 11 days’ time.

OMG. Is this a dream? Or maybe a hoax?

Having the annual WRTH, as a print and digital (first time ever) edition would be a wonderful thing. The official web siite says nothing about this. Do not click on any links about this.
