DIY on Shortwave

Hi SWLing post community from Fastradioburst23. Just when you thought it was safe to put that canvas toolbag away, the Imaginary Stations team have a DIY related broadcast on Sunday 11th December 2022 via WRMI on 9395 kHz at 2300 hrs UTC.

There will be toolshed related tunes, advice on repairing stuff around the home “without the direct aid of professionals or certified experts” and tips and tricks from various handymen and women from around the globe. So plug in that homebrew radio, tune it in and enjoy!

Attention KMRT shoppers (again)

Hi SWLing post community, it’s bargain time again! This weekend your one stop shortwave shopping experience KMRT will be live from an imaginary supermarket near you. We will be broadcasting from the Manager’s office via an instore microwave link up and the show will go out on Sunday 4th December 2022 via WRMI on 9395 kHz at 2300 hrs UTC.

There will be a host of blue light specials, a trolley dash and a special appearance from a 1970’s TV star who will be choosing the winning numbers for the seasonal raffle. Tune in and join in the fun! Fastradioburst23.

WRMI Legends (Ted Randall & Co.) is on:

    • 5:00-6:00 pm Eastern Time daily on 9395 kHz
    • 6:00-7:00 pm ET daily on 5950 kHz
    • 6:00-11:00 pm ET daily on 9455 kHz
    • 9:00-10:00 pm ET Saturday on 5850 kHz

I know a lot of readers will be happy to hear Ted Randall’s tunes on shortwave after the demise of WTWW’s shortwave service. Thanks for the tip!

More Wrenaissance on shortwave

Hi all SWLing post community, Fastradioburst23 here letting you know of our next episode of renaissance music radio across the shortwaves this weekend thanks to WRMI.

This Sunday 6th November 2022 from 2300 utc on 9395 kHz there will be another transmission of WREN and in keeping with last week’s show they’ll be much more modal music and to quote Wikipedia, more “Harmony that places a greater concern on the smooth flow of the music and its progression of chords.” Tune in and enjoy another journey way back into time.
