Can U Polka?

Hi all SWLing Post folks, FastRadioBurst 23 here informing you what the Imaginary Stations crew will be bringing to the shortwaves this week.

On Saturday December 21st 2024 at 1200 hrs UTC on 6160 kHz and repeated on Sunday December 22nd 2024 at 1000/1400 hrs UTC on 6160 kHz and also at 2100 UTC on 3975 kHz via Shortwave Gold we have another Polka Party! So dig out that old dusty accordion from up in the loft, get into your best dancing outfit then stick on the shortwave radio loud and be prepared to happily dance around the sitting room to the best in Polka-core. This is a show that’ll make you smile!

Then on Wednesday December 25th 2024 at 0300 UTC via WRMI we have another excellent Radio Thrift Shop where DJ Frederick will be playing an eclectic holiday mix from old 45’s, 10″ shellacs, old library music albums and tunes that are seldom heard. Prepare your ears to be suprised!

Seeing is knowing

Good morning all SWLing Post folks, FastRadioBurst 23 here letting you know now, in this instance, what the Imaginary Stations crew will be bringing to the shortwaves this coming week.

Firstly we have the debut of KNOW (our great new trailer is above) on Saturday December 14th 2024 at 1200 hrs UTC on 6160 kHz and repeated on Sunday December 15th 2024 at 1000/1400 hrs UTC on 6160 kHz and also at 2100 UTC on 3975 kHz via Shortwave Gold. 

We will be imparting some very deep knowledge on the show, answers to questions like “When is tea-time?”, “Where’s me jumper/glasses/soldering iron?” and “Why doesn’t this work?” and bringing you songs that are in the moment, out of the moment and tunes that you may not even know.

Then on Wednesday December 18th 2024 at 0300 UTC via WRMI we have the return of  the excellent Radio Thrift Shop where DJ Frederick will be playing an eclectic mix from forgotten 45’s, library music and seldom heard LPs, EPs, 45’s and scratchy 7″ers. Prepare your ears to be suprised!

Snoozin’ on the shortwaves

Hi all SWLing Post Community, FastRadioBurst 23 from the Imaginary Stations crew letting you know about our shows this week. The first is a very chilled and dreamy WZZZ via Shortwave Gold on Sunday 10th March 2024 at 1000/1400 hrs UTC on 6160 kHz and then at 2100 UTC on 3975 kHz. This is a horizontal themed show and there’ll be lots of tunes to drop off to and songs to dream to. If you love a snooze you’ll love WZZZ!

On Thursday 7th March via WRMI we have the fourth installment of the great Radio Ace. Tune in at 0200 UTC on 9395 kHz for further adventures of Flash Frisbone! And here’s more on WZZZ:

Whistling and listening

Hi all SWLing Post Community, FastRadioBurst 23 from Imaginary Stations crew letting you know about our shows this week. We present WSTL via Shortwave Gold on Sunday 3rd March 2024 at 1000/1400 hrs UTC on 6160 kHz and then at 2100 UTC on 3975 kHz. If you love whistling you’ll love WSTL.

On Thursday 7th March via WRMI we have DJ Frederick going through his record collection and pulling out some eclectic tunes from all genres. Tune in at 0300 UTC on 9395 kHz and see what gets pulled out and played!
