International sounds for the umbraphiles

Hi I’m FastRadioBurst 23 from the Imaginary Stations crew letting you know about this week’s shows. The first  broadcast is to Europe via Shortwave Gold on Sunday 31st March 2024 at 0900/1300 hrs UTC on 6160 kHz and then at 2000 UTC on 6160 kHz and 3975 kHz. This week we will bring you the worldwide sounds of Skybird Radio International. Tune in, chill out and listen to sounds from all around this planet of ours.

On Thursday 4th April via WRMI we bring you another episode of KSOL – The Eclipse Edition at 0200 UTC on 9395 kHz. You could use this show as a rehearsal for the big event on the folowing Monday. You’ll need your solar glasses, telescopes, binoculars and solar filters at the ready and listen in while we bring you some path of totality musical classics. It may go dark for a few minutes but don’t worry, normal service will be resumed!

Skybird goes worldwide again

Good day all SWLing Post Community, FastRadioBurst 23 here bringing you news of this week’s Imaginary Stations transmissions. Beamed to Europe via Shortwave Gold on Sunday 12th November 2023 at 1000/1400 hrs UTC on 6160 kHz and 2100 UTC on 3975 kHz, we have a special Peruvian Edition of Skybird Radio International. Expect some wonderful music in a true South American style.

A few hours later in the early hours  of Monday 13th November via the transmitters of WRMI we have a different episode of Skybird Radio International at 0300 UTC on 9395 kHz and then repeated at 0400 UTC on 9455 kHz. Tune in chill out and listen to the sound of this world of ours.

Shortwave stations are ACE and so are buses

A big hi to all the SWLing Post Community, FastRadioBurst 23 here bringing you news of this week’s Imaginary Stations transmissions. Beamed to Europe via Shortwave Gold on Sunday 22nd October 2023 at 2000 hrs UTC on 3975 & 6160 kHz, we have Radio Ace featuring the Adventures of Flash Frisbone. If you love radio, you’ll love Radio Ace!

A few hours later via the transmitters of WRMI on Monday 16th October we have KBUS. The broadcast is at 0200 UTC on 9395 kHz and then repeated at 0300 UTC on 9455 kHz. Expect some Bus Driver’s classics, Conductor’s sing-a-longs and a collection of sound effects from various ticket machines. Step aboard and enjoy the trip!

Imagine the sound of international radio

Hi all SWLing Post Community, FastRadioBurst 23 here bringing you news of this week’s Imaginary Stations transmissions. Beamed to Europe via Shortwave Gold on Sunday 15th October 2023 at 2000 hrs UTC on 3975 & 6160 kHz, we have the third episode of Skybird Radio International bringing you music and culture from all over the world. Tune in and enjoy some great jazz, electronica, pop and dub.

A few hours later via the transmitters of WRMI on Monday 16th October we have a different episode of Skybird Radio International. The broadcast is at 0200 UTC on 9395 kHz and then repeated at 0300 UTC on 9455 kHz. No genres or no agendas, just some cool sounds from around planet earth featuring a collection of international platters that really do matter. Enjoy!

The deep blue sea and trains this weekend on shortwave

Hi SWLing post community, Fastradioburst23 here letting you know about this weekend’s Imaginary Stations shows on shortwaves this Sunday 6th August 2023. The first show will be  beamed to Europe via the services of Shortwave Gold in Germany at 2000 utc on 6160 khz and will be the debut of KSEA. It’s an ocean themed mix special so grab a waterproof jacket and a radio (with marine band on it of course) and go on a seaward journey with us.

Then later on at 2200 hrs UTC on 9395 kHz  via WRMI we have CTRN for all locomotive fans. We’ll be playing all sorts of songs about stations, signals and rolling stock. Remember to leave any baggage in the guard’s van with your name and address clearly marked on the label before going to your alloted seat. We will be coming around with the buffet trolley so we need to keep the walkways clear. Please enjoy your trip and remember to take all of your belongings with you when you leave the train. Imaginary shortwave stations this weekend

Hi all, Fastradioburst23 here letting you know about a the Imaginary Stations schedule on the shortwaves this Sunday 30th July 2023. The first show will be  beamed to Europe via the services of Shortwave Gold in Germany at 2000 utc on 6160 khz and will be the debut of Skybird Radio International. Expect tunes in a global style.

Then later at 2200 hrs UTC on 9395 kHz  via WRMI is WSFR (Swiss Family Robinson/Lost Island Radio). Imagine you’re listening to the portable on a deserted island of your choice with all amenities provided. Tune in and let the imagination flow.
