Hi to all our SWLing Post friends. Here’s what Imaginary Stations has planned this week for your shortwave radio/SDR listening pleasure.

On Wednesday 21st October 2026, at 0200 hrs UTC on 9395 kHz. We have another new broadcast of WHFM: Herman’s Radio & Record Room on WRMI  this week with vintage tunes & old-time radio programs from the 1930s through the 1960’s.

Later that day at 1800 hrs UTC on 3975 kHz/6160 kHz via Shortwave Gold to Europe and beyond, we’re still jamming out with Skybird Jams – lots of extended jams in all musical genres.

And at the weekend, on Saturday 24th October at 1100 hrs UTC on 6160 kHz and then again on Sunday 25th October at 1000 hrs and 1400hrs UTC on 6160 kHz and 2000 hrs UTC on 3975 kHz via Shortwave Gold, TV on the Radio continues this week without the annoying adverts and no dancing with the stars. Tune in for a mix of music from TV shows across the decades.

Hi to all our SWLing Post friends. Here’s this week’s Imaginary Stations schedule for your shortwave radio/SDR listening pleasure.

On Wednesday 14th October 2026, at 0200 hrs UTC on 9395 kHz we have a new episode of WHFM: Herman’s Radio & Record Room on WRMI this week, with vintage tunes & even old-time radio shows from the 1930’s through the 1960’s.

Later that day at 1800 hrs UTC on 3975 kHz/6160 kHz via Shortwave Gold to Europe and beyond, we’re jamming out with Skybird Jams, lots of extended jazz and rock tunes. Challenge your attention span!

And at the weekend, on Saturday 17th October at 1100 hrs UTC on 6160 kHz and then again on Sunday 18th October at 1300 hrs UTC on 6160 kHz and 2000 hrs UTC on 3975 kHz/6160 kHz via Shortwave Gold, we debut TV on the Radio.

Yes it can be done, and our Imaginary Engineers will demonstrate exactly how during the broadcast. Just kidding! Tune in for a surprising mix of music from TV shows across the decades.

International classic(al) shortwave vibes

Hi to all our SWLing Post friends. Here’s this week’s Imaginary Stations schedule for your shortwave radio/SDR listening pleasure.

On Wednesday 7th October 2026, at 0200 hrs UTC on 9395 kHz we bring you another episode of  WHFM Herman’s Radio & Record Room via WRMI. They’ll be many vintage tunes and even a few old time radio shows from the 1930s through the 1960’s.

Later that day at 1800 hrs UTC on 3975 kHz/6160 kHz via Shortwave Gold, we revisit a 2023 broadcast of Skybird Radio International with an audio trip around the whirled.

And at the weekend, on Saturday 10th October at 1100 hrs UTC on 6160 kHz and then again on Sunday 11th October at 1300 hrs UTC on 6160 kHz and 2000 hrs UTC on 3975 kHz/6160 kHz via Shortwave Gold, we have the third in our classical series for the non-serious, CLSC3 before we turn our attention to the rest of our new autumn programs!

More classical jams served up in the radio room

Hi to all our SWLing Post friends. Here’s this week’s Imaginary Stations schedule for your shortwave radio/SDR listening pleasure.

On Wednesday 30th September 2026, at 0200 hrs UTC on 9395 kHz we bring you WHFM Herman’s Radio & Record Room via WRMI. The show returns to the airwaves with new episodes featuring mid-century music from all genres from the 1930s right through to the 1960s.

Later that day at 1800 hrs UTC on 3975 kHz/6160 kHz via Shortwave Gold, tune in for more Skybird Jams. Imaginary Stations brings you an encore presentation of the show featuring music to challenge your attention span!

And at the weekend, on Saturday 3rd October at 1100 hrs UTC on 6160 kHz and then again on Sunday 4th October at 1300 hrs UTC on 6160 kHz and 2000 hrs UTC on 3975 kHz/6160 kHz via Shortwave Gold, for CLSC 2. We present the second program of classical(ish) tunes via CLSC. Be forewarned – it might not appeal to classical music purists, but we will continue experimenting with CLSC until we get it right! Or wrong.

Hi to all our SWLing Post friends. Here’s the Imaginary Stations schedule for this week’s shortwave listening pleasure.

On WRMI on Wednesday 2nd September 2026, at 0200 hrs UTC on 9395 kHz we bring you another show in the WHFM – Herman’s Radio and Record Room series. This is a programme by DJ Frederick Moe in memory of his father Herman Moe (1919-2001) and features mid-century sounds including country, jazz, folk and easy listening.

Later that day at 1800 hrs UTC on 3975 kHz/6160 kHz via Shortwave Gold, we bring you more Skybird Soul on Shortwave. Expect the best Soul and soul related tracks for a Wednesday evening. It’s great to hear some soul on those shortwaves!

Then on Saturday 5th September at 1100 hrs UTC on 6160 kHz and then again on Sunday 6th September at 1300 hrs UTC on 6160 kHz and 2000 hrs UTC on 3975 kHz/6160 kHz via Shortwave Gold, we bring you a show about Fraternity Records out of Cincinnati, Ohio. Be prepared to listen and learn about this excellent record label and hear some wonderful cuts released on the label.

Hi to all SWLing Post community. Here’s the Imaginary Stations schedule for this week’s listening pleasure.

On Wednesday 26th August 2026, at 0200 hrs UTC on 9395 kHz on WRMI we have the Shortwave Music Library. More excellent selections from DJ Frederick’s vast music collection, expect all sorts of genres!

Later that day at 1800 hrs UTC on 3975 kHz/6160 kHz via Shortwave Gold, we bring you another episode of Skybird Soul on Shortwave. Expect some great Soul and soul related tracks for a Wednesday evening. Fades and extra effects thanks to the ionosphere are all part of the listening experience!

While on Saturday 29th August at 1100 hrs UTC on 6160 kHz and then again on Sunday 30th August at 1300 hrs UTC on 6160 kHz and 2000 hrs UTC on 3975 kHz/6160 kHz, we bring you a another totally different episode of the Shortwave Music Library. It’s more of the same format as above and you’ll never know what you are going to hear.
