Special VORW Radio International Holiday Broadcast

Hello Shortwave Listeners! In addition to our regularly scheduled broadcasts of VORW Radio International every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday – I am pleased to announce that there will be a special holiday broadcast on Christmas Day!

This show will feature some mixed talk and music of all genres (including some holiday songs) and a newly designed E-QSL will be sent out to any and all reception reports received! Here is the schedule:

Tuesday 2100 UTC (3 PM Central / 4 PM Eastern) – 12160 kHz – [UPDATE 12/22/18] 9,350 kHz WWCR 100 kW – North America

With every month, a few changes are made to the schedule of VORW Radio Int. The latest change is the resumption of broadcasts via WBCQ at 2100 UTC on 7490 kHz, targeting Eastern North America.

Additional VORW Radio test transmissions this weekend

Starting this Thursday (March 1st) I will be conducting a test transmission of VORW Radio Int. on 5950 kHz via radio station WRMI. The intended reception area is the state of Florida! This is understandably tricky considering that the transmitter site is in the target area itself, but this test is to determine if listeners in Florida can be adequately served via this Florida-based site.

VORW Radio International Test Broadcast Today

This Sunday (January 28th) and next Sunday (February 4th) there will be test transmissions of VORW Radio International via radio station WINB in Pennsylvania. These tests are beamed toward North America but may be heard elsewhere, reception reports are very much appreciated to gauge effectiveness.
