Hi Thomas. Thought your readers might like to know that the Eton Traveller III is on sale at Amazon for $48.53 shipped. This isn’t the lowest price I’ve seen for the III but it’s one of the lower ones so certainly a great deal. I have one and think it’s a great little portable set. I appreciate the little door on the front of the radio that protects some of the controls. When I throw it in a bag there’s less worry. Designed for traveling. Recommend!

Thanks, Christian! I agree that the Traveller III is a great little radio. I gave mine to a friend only because I have so many other similar portables. He travels a lot and I knew it would make for a nice companion. It also has brilliant audio for such a small portable. Certainly a great stocking stuffer to consider at this time of year!

Amazon has just posted an excellent price for the Eton Grundig Edition Traveller III shortwave portable: $35.83 shipped! This is the lowest price I’ve seen for the Traveller III since December when it hit this lowest price for a very brief period of time. As with any Amazon spricing, this could end at any time.

Just FYI US retailer Fry’s has the Grundig Traveler III for $35 ending Dec 23rd.

Thanks for the tip, Ivan! This may require a store pickup as online shipping doesn’t appear to be an option.

Also, the photo on Fry’s shows the Executive version of the Traveller III with case–the UPC number, however, indicates this is the original black chassis version of the Traveller III. There is no difference in performance–I note this only because the image is a little misleading.

Still, $35 is a great price for the Traveller III!

Radioworld has the Eton Traveller III on sale for $39.99 CAD (about $32 USD) and the Eton Satellit Grundig Edition for $99.99 CAD (about $79 USD). I don’t think I’ve ever seen a lower price for the Satellit.

Thanks for the tip, Mark! The Traveller III is a great little radio and certainly worth $38.05. I bought mine on a similar deal about a year ago. Lacks a keypad but has the classic traveller world clock.
