Part of the news bulletin from Radio Nacional Rio AM 1130 kHz, dealing with the evaluation of the G20 summit, Xi Jinping’s official visit to Brazil and the federal police operation that arrested those involved in a plot to assassinate Brazilian President Lula, Vice President Alckmin and the Federal Supreme Court Minister Alexandre de Moraes. Listened in Rio de Janeiro on a GE walkman.

Happy atmospherical radio propagation

Hi to all SWLing Post community, FastRadioBurst 23 here letting you know what Imaginary Stations are bringing to the airwaves this coming week.

We’ve a show on Saturday November 16th 2024 at 1200 hrs UTC on 6160 kHz and repeated on Sunday November 17th 2024 at 1000/1200 hrs UTC on 6160 kHz and also at 2100 UTC on 3975 kHz via the services of Shortwave Gold. They’ll be more happy harpology with HARP 2. Expect classics done in the angelic style of the harp and all sorts of strings and things and will there be any hormonica? Tune into the sounds of HARP and find out.

Then on Wednesday November 27th 2024 at 0300 UTC via WRMI we have the return of The Adventures of Flash Frisbone on Radio Ace. As we keep saying, if you love radio you’ll love Radio Ace!

Historic radio station in West Chester remembers final broadcast anniversary (Fox 19)

“Everything got shut off. This place had never been shut off in 50 years.”

WEST CHESTER, Ohio (WXIX) – The Bethany Relay Station at the Voice of America Park is remembering the day its mission of transmitting broadcasts ended.

The historic station was built in West Chester by radio pioneer and Cincinnati native Powel Crosley Jr.

The station and its shortwave broadcasts served as countermeasures to propaganda spreading across Europe during World War II, allowing people from all over the world to receive crucial information about wartime happenings.

On Nov. 14, 1994, the mission of transmitting broadcasts worldwide from the Bethany Relay Station came to an end. […]
