We’ve been posting holiday deals since before Thanksgiving. HRO seems to be extending some of their special pricing through December 12, 2016.
The Eton Traveller III
I did notice that, among other discounts, HRO has the Eton Traveller III for $49.95. Not a bad price for a great little portable!
While browsing Amazon.com this morning, I noted a bargain price for what is described as a new Tecsun PL-310ET: $26.54 including shipping.
This is a great price, but there are a couple of red flags worth noting and that made me a little hesitant to post:
If you’re willing to take a gamble, this might be a good deal. I assume Amazon would stand behind you–still, “Caveat emptor!”

Note that the standard pricing of the PL-310ET is only about $40-45 shipped either via Amazon or via eBay. A great bargain for a great little receiver.

As with most (if not all) ShopGoodwill.com auctions, this IC-R75 come with no warranty, is untested and sold “as-is.” I suppose you could receive it only to find that it doesn’t function–that is the risk with Goodwill over, say, eBay.
I’ve purchased from ShopGoodwill before knowing this and was very pleased my item worked.
Still, it’s most encouraging that the receiver comes complete with box, manual and power supply. Those are all good signs. The current price is $378.78 at time of posting. Someone may get a good deal for a spare receiver.
While looking at the IC-R75 listing, the ShopGoodwill screen also pointed out a JRC NRD-525 with an auction end date of November 29.
Looks to be in good shape, but again, it’s being sold as-is in untested condition:
